He was and is, without doubt, Jamaica’s finest export and in this program we can reveal for the first time the behind the scenes Bob Marley that only his closest confidantes could know.
Born in 1945, Bob Marley was an icon of the twentieth century, renowned for his laid back persona and his music that speaks of faith, devotion and revolution. From 1975 he released an album each year until his untimely death in 1981. A man deeply concerned for his home country of Jamaica and the political unrest there, his efforts to help Jamaica’s problems were recognised by a United Nations Peace Award. This documentary includes Marley’s music, film footage and interviews with people who were close to him.
Paul Weller Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a snapshot of his compelling live act, which along outstanding studio albums, has given him a reputation as the doyen of dad-rock.
