A farmer meets two Guarani Indian musicians, whom he invites to work for him as long as they play their instruments everyday. The farmer assembles his own orchestra, led by a man that his daughter soon falls in love with. “Concerto Campestre” is the love story of not only a man and a woman, but also a man and his music.
The story narrates the misfortunes of a social outsider who tries to survive the hardships of immigrants in the United States. Veronica is the daughter of the owner of the land where Johnny works. In spite of social differences Johnny and Veronica become engaged. In the end Johnny finds out that he will have a son with another woman and decides to remain with her and begin a new life in another place.
